Order-to-floor system for a manufacturer
A dealer ordering portal and staff CRM that turns an order into priced, station-ready cut sheets.
A dealer ordering portal, a staff CRM and a fabrication formula engine for a made-to-order manufacturer. One shared database carries an order from the dealer’s screen to seven station sheets and per-unit travel tickets on the shop floor.
During on-site discovery I found an order that had sat in “Needs Clarification” for thirteen days with no clarification attached. Status lived in three competing systems, dealer messages were buried, pricing waited for a manual review, and the fabrication math lived in a protected spreadsheet that would not open.
Mapped the workflow with the retail and shop-floor teams, then built the MVP in three weeks: a consolidated inbox, 34 documented markup rules, a formula engine with plain-language derivations, an order summary, seven station sheets and travel tickets. Moving an order to “Needs Clarification” now requires a message, including by drag and drop. Nonstandard requests route to a person. Screens were resized for the people actually using them on the floor.
